Tutoring in Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics

Janelle has been tutoring students in the Washington, D.C. area since 2002. She tutors middle school, high school, and college students in general, Honors, and Advanced Placement (AP) math and science courses.

MATH: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus

CHEMISTRY: HS Chemistry, AP Chemistry, College Chemistry

BIOLOGY: HS Biology, AP Biology, College Biology

PHYSICS: HS Physics

Janelle will:

Provide in-home individual tutoring sessions to help student establish understanding of core concepts and vocabulary.
Prepare additional material to facilitate learning, comprehension, and retention.
Promote study skills to help students be successful in all course work.

Tutoring works best when:

Parents and student agree that tutoring is needed
Tutoring begins at the first sign of difficulty
Tutoring is scheduled regularly, not just the night before a test

Her students attended classes at George Mason University, National Cathedral School (NCS), Maret School, Walt Whitman High School, Bethesda Chevy Chase High School (BCC), and Argyle Middle School.

Janelle also tutored college level students in general and organic chemistry in Wisconsin.
